Why I Made This Recipe
My favorite way to use cucumbers is in a simple salad. However, overall, I just love these cucumbers in any dish.
Lemon Cucumbers are often less bitter, they are a beautiful sun-yellow color, and they taste amazing in so many cucumber recipes. If you are growing these cucumbers they are prolific and relatively easy to care for.
Growing Cucumbers
Since downsizing my garden after moving, I have not had the chance to grow these cucumbers in my own garden. However, I have friends who have and they all tell me they are so easy to grow!
What I do know from growing other varietals of cucumber plants, they grow quickly, they like well-draining soil that is evenly moist. From my experience, when I was inconsistent with watering my cucumbers taste bitter. Additionally, they like full sun but are prone to scorching so they also need some shade (think about those big cucumber leaves!)
